Bettie Page ( April 22, 1923 – December 11, 2008 ) was an American model who became famous in the 50's for her fetish modeling and pin-up photos. She has often been called the Queen of pinups . Her look, including her jet black hair and trademark bangs, has influenced many artists. She was also one of the earliest Playmate of the Month for Playboy magazine.

These women could smuggle anything in their hair. They seem to be twins and probably was dancers or strippers. Dutch photographer Theo van Houts spotted these monstrous " bee-hives " on girls wearing microscopic skirts in the Summer of 1968 in Amsterdam.

Nichols was born as Barbara Marie Nickerauer in Queens, New York. She began modeling for pinup magazines in the early-1950s. In the mid-1950s, she moved to Hollywood and began regularly appearing in second leads in a number of films.
